Severe weather expected this week

The National Weather Service is already predicting severe weather for the coming week. There will be a chance for severe weather on Tuesday afternoon into the evening. Severe weather (which could include damaging hail and winds -- and of course flooding) is expected to develop ahead of a cold front.

"These hazardous conditions is [sic] expected to occur in response to a significant increase in Gulf moisture," says the NWS. "Meanwhile a weak cold front will move into extreme southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks, and become a focus for storm development. Temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s, along with dew points moistening into the mid 60s, will create an explosive environment for robust storm updrafts."
