Go pull your snow boots back out of the closet

The National Weather Service is predicting the possibility of 1/2" to 3" of snow with a system that will come in on Saturday.

Maybe higher amounts?

From the forecast discussion:
WILL CONTINUE TO RAISE POPS FOR SAT AND HAVE ROUGHLY ONE TO NEARLY FOUR INCHES OF SNOW IN THE GRIDDED FORECAST...BUT FEEL THERE WILL BE HIGHER LOCAL AMOUNTS SOMEWHERE. SFC TEMPERATURES NEAR FREEZING MAY LIMIT OVERALL IMPACT ON ROADS...BUT THERE MAY BE A PERIOD FROM MID/LATE MORNING THROUGH MID AFTERNOON WHERE SNOWFALL RATES WILL POSE SOME TRAVEL PROBLEMS EVEN WITH RELATIVELY WARM SFC TEMPERATURES.

Extreme western Missouri could get less than half an inch, but the areas in blue on the map below could receive amounts of snow from 1-3 inches Saturday.
