Severe storms possible today, tomorrow

Today we have a good chance of severe weather in southwest Missouri, according to the NWS:
LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING HOURS A STRONG UPPER LEVEL JET WILL PUSH INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS...THIS WILL HELP DEVELOP STORMS ALONG A DRY LINE ACROSS CENTRAL TEXAS INTO CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. A STRONG LOW LEVEL JET WILL ALSO DEVELOP WHICH WILL CREATE STRONG LOW LEVEL WIND SHEAR... ALLOWING FOR STORMS TO BECOME SUPER CELLULAR. THIS ACTIVITY WILL SPREAD NORTHEAST INTO SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND SOUTHWEST MISSOURI THIS EVENING. LARGE HAIL TO THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS...DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS ACTIVITY...WHICH WILL MAINLY AFFECT AREAS WEST OF HIGHWAY 65 THIS EVENING. OVERNIGHT THIS ACTIVITY WILL LIKELY DEVELOP INTO LINE SEGMENTS AND PUSH EASTWARD ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA. THE PRIMARY HAZARDS EAST OF HIGHWAY 65 WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.

A chance exists for Tuesday, too:
A COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO PUSH THROUGH THE AREA DURING THE DAY ON TUESDAY...BRINGING ADDITIONAL CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND MUCH OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS. THERE IS A CONDITIONAL SEVERE THREAT WITH THIS ACTIVITY IF ENOUGH INSTABILITY CAN DEVELOP AHEAD OF THE FRONT.

Tuesday is when Missouri is supposed to have a statewide tornado drill at 1:30 p.m. I wonder if they'll have to cancel it based on the forecast. We'll see...
