"Congradulations!"

"Ahhhhh!"

That's what went through my mind as I drove away from Dairy Queen in Marshfield before taking our weekend getaway to St. Louis.

No, they got our order correct. It was the erroneous spelling of "congratulations" on the Pizza Inn sign that caught my eye.

I see it every year about this time. I can never figure out why someone misspells congratulations. I know it sort of sounds like "d" instead of a "t," but I'm sure they've heard people like me gasp at the misspelling of the word enough that they would remember how to spell it.

Heck, if you can't remember how to spell that big, long word, you can at least just write "Congrats." And if you can remember how to spell "Congrats" then wouldn't you know that the full word has a "t" anyway?

Can I get an amen?

Darrell and I saw that also, but I thought they may have done it on purpose--a play on the word "graduate." Or not:-)

I do miss that Dairy Queen, by the way!

Probably 90 percent of the people who read that didn't even notice. However, I still think "grad" was intentional.
