Walter CronkiteNov. 4, 1916 – July 17, 2009
Best known in his role as anchorman on the CBS Evening News from 1962 to 1981, Walter Cronkite died at the age of 92.
I was fortunate enough to meet and interview Cronkite for The Marshfield Mail in November 2001 where Cronkite, a Missouri native, received an Outstanding Missourian Award in Branson.
