I wonder if we can tabulate how many times I-44 has been closed this year due to flooding. In all my 26 years, I don't recall this major thoroughfare flooding out hardly ever in and near Springfield. Apparently the water is so high near Strafford, MODOT has chosen to shut down traffic there.
It's funny, but as this year of weather extremes continues, I'm going to almost bet that when August and September arrive, we'll be crying for rain to relieve the drought conditions. Just watch...

I bet you are right. We have almost surpassed our rain total for the year and still in June. It is all about averages!
We did end up surpassing it!! The wettest June on record! Boo!!
